Worth the investment
I just read that a study that estimated the amount of money we would have to spend for machines to do everything that our body does. Taking into account that there are some things we do that just can't be duplicated, if you had to pay for it, you'd be looking at five MILLION dollars. Wow. I always knew our bodies were amazing creations.
Yet, some how, we hesitate to spend money on keeping them finely tuned. As a society, we much rather throw medicine at the problem instead of finding the root cause. Worse yet, we don't seem to be investing in pro-active measures to prevent damage.
It is up to each person to look out for their "million dollar machine". When put in that context, you certainly wouldn't let a $50,000 car rust. You'd wash and wax it, take it in for service, etc. Be sure to give your body the same great care. It's worth the investment.
